A Reflection of my Blog 3.0

I can’t believe this is the third year I am reviewing my blog. Similar to last year, I am quite excited with how much I was able to keep up with it this past school year. Last spring, I was finally able to share all my Australian travel videos and over the summer I finally published my weekend trips from my month in Italy. It was a thrilling time to share all my experiences with you! Throughout the fall, I had three guest bloggers who shared their study abroad experiences on my blog, which was was a fun collaboration opportunity.

As I have said over and over since my blog began, I am always toying with the idea of buying a domain for it. I was actually sure I would do it after last semester, but then I got sidetracked by creating a new professional website, and realized I should probably buy that soon since I am entering my last semester of college ever. Then I got to thinking that I have no idea how long this blog will last. I say this every year, but it really feels like I’m about to jump off a cliff into the unknown. Will I get a job? Will I have time to blog? Will I travel ever again? I am of course being a bit ridiculous with that last question.

The ideal blogging space.

By the time I was done with my professional website, I was off to Los Angeles for a class trip and then Colorado for my family ski trip, and any thought of upgrading this site went to rest. I did some more thinking, though, and I think I will by the domain for a year and see how that goes (once a sale comes up!).

The next year won’t be too slow in blog production, after all. I have my Los Angeles and Colorado trips to share, I have my Amsterdam trip typed up and ready to go, I have a few travel safety blogs coming up later in the year, and finally, I realized I have posts from Thailand that have been patiently resting in a camouflage bed in my lap top. As always, I can’t wait to bring you with me on my travels!

Whitmanythought 1: Sara, seriously just buy the domain already.

Whitmanythought 2: Anyone know of any travel shows that will hire me?
